Whose Script Are You Living

Life is simple. Life is easy. We get to experience difficulty when we live our lives based on scripts written by others. God has the perfect script for your life. He knew you before He formed you. He mapped your life, gave it an accurate sense of direction and purpose. The owner of the heavens and Earth has got plans for you. All you need to do is to align your will and purpose with His,  not with your parent's, nor friend's, nor spouse's..not even yours. Then you will discover how simple, fulfilling and full life is.... the God kinda life :)

How Did We Get Here

We now live in a world where evil is being trivialized
Where the dignity of human life is no longer respected
Where the sanctity of marital vows is no longer relevant
Where honesty and integrity are outdated
Where people kill en masse as a way of worship of some god
Where perpetrators of evil are praised and victims are condemned
Where widows and orphans are detested
Where the handicapped are mocked for their condition
Where rapists walk free and rape victims are ridiculed
Where gentleness and kindness are seen as signs of foolishness
The list goes on and on.....

How did we get here? What happened to you? What happened to me? What happened to us? These are questions that require deep and personal sober reflections, because we must be the change the world needs. The light that shines in darkness. The salt that sweetens lives. The agents of love, honesty, integrity and moral uprightness. And the time to start is NOW.

Butterflies In My Room

I laid on my back
Eyes opened, mind blank
I was down and depressed
I want to give up, for I'm stressed

Then I saw them, even in the gloom
Butterflies in my room
Gliding without a fear
All beauty and fair

How I wish I could fly
Fly above my limitations
Gliding without worry
In all the beauty
Which God has given me.

(The Samguine)

Just A Moment

I looked at her
And she looked at me
Our eyes met

For a moment or two
She felt it
And I felt it
That moment or two
Was all we need

Let's Talk About Books

It's been a while. Glad to be here again. I have been busy. Work, church and books. Yeah..books. Books are treasures, invaluable gifts from the writers to the readers. The importance of books cannot be overemphasized. Books have been written on almost every topic known to man..from colors of soil to the expansion of the Universe. We would do ourselves a world of good if we dig into the treasures of books often. Find time to read. Find time to explore the minds of great writers through their books. Books make you informed, sharpen your intelligence, increase you vocabulary and renew your mind. A reader is always a leader.

A.S.K

A. Ask. Ask God anything, anywhere and at anytime. God is always present. He is omnipresent. He is with you on the train, airplane, in the car, classroom, church, restroom...wherever you find yourself.

S. Seek. Though He is everywhere, God chose to reside in our hearts. Seeking God requires concentration and determination. Seeking God requires you crowding out those distractions. Seeking requires going to meet with the Father himself, just as the case of the prodigal son.

K. Knock. You not only knock, you break down the walls of doubt, sin, fear and unbelief. Then we can have unrestricted access to the Father.

ASK today.

This Procrastination Wahala

It is not surprising to me that my first major post would be on procrastination. I have been dealing with it for quite sometimes now. It wasn't until recently where I wasn't mobilized for Batch A 2014 NYSC that I decided I have to change.
It happened in my Part One in school. The result of one of the courses I wrote was not released. I didn't work on it until I was in my final year. I postponed and postponed and postponed until I missed service. I know some people who also have experiences to share. Procrastination has eaten deep into the lives of most people. What they need to do now, they neglec. Though they might be busy, but they are only busy in the wrong way. They do what they are not supposed to be doing as an excuse for not doing what they actually are supposed to be doing.
The only cure to procrastination is doing what you are supposed to do NOW. Don't postpone it. Leave those unimportant assignments and do the important ones now. Call that your friend, send that SMS, cook that food, do that assignment, write that exam, talk to that girl/boy, pray for that person, preach Jesus to that unbeliever and you would be amazed at the sense of satisfaction and accomplishment that would fill you.

(By the way, as I write this, my Oga just postponed an assignment he was supposed to have done 2 weeks ago.)
