This Procrastination Wahala

It is not surprising to me that my first major post would be on procrastination. I have been dealing with it for quite sometimes now. It wasn't until recently where I wasn't mobilized for Batch A 2014 NYSC that I decided I have to change.
It happened in my Part One in school. The result of one of the courses I wrote was not released. I didn't work on it until I was in my final year. I postponed and postponed and postponed until I missed service. I know some people who also have experiences to share. Procrastination has eaten deep into the lives of most people. What they need to do now, they neglec. Though they might be busy, but they are only busy in the wrong way. They do what they are not supposed to be doing as an excuse for not doing what they actually are supposed to be doing.
The only cure to procrastination is doing what you are supposed to do NOW. Don't postpone it. Leave those unimportant assignments and do the important ones now. Call that your friend, send that SMS, cook that food, do that assignment, write that exam, talk to that girl/boy, pray for that person, preach Jesus to that unbeliever and you would be amazed at the sense of satisfaction and accomplishment that would fill you.

(By the way, as I write this, my Oga just postponed an assignment he was supposed to have done 2 weeks ago.)
